Creative Design
The Shaw Family dreamt of a place where all children could play, no matter their physical barriers. They needed a creative marketing plan that not only turned heads, but raised the funds needed to construct Sheboygan’s first fully accessible and inclusive ADA playground.
The Shaw’s wanted what every parent wants for their children, to be able to play with their peers. Their conjoined twins had physical limitations, which hindered their ability to play at local parks, so the family designed plans for Wisconsin’s first fully accessible playground. That’s where we were able to step in and bring that vision to life.
Our task was to create collateral to raise funds for every aspect of this project. We knew we couldn’t just make a flyer and remittance envelope to send out; this required something more. We quickly got to work, diving into extensive research on what resonates most with donors. We determined the collateral needed to evoke an emotion, and the best way to do that was to let the Shaw’s tell their story themselves.
We created an engaging iPad presentation where Ryan, Angie, and their boys were able to talk directly to potential donors, telling their story and the impact this park would make on the community. The video also walked through the different equipment needed to make a fully accessible ADA playground and the possibilities it would bring to children.
As parents ourselves, this project will always hold a special place in our hearts because all children should have the opportunity to play and have fun!
The Shaw Family Playground is complete and available for every child to enjoy and play with their friends.
